SHE SAID:
It was another big orchid hunting day, with 2 private properties, a national park, & a granite rock visited. Loads of orchids seen, a few different types from yesterday, too.
In the evening Kylie & I made up the “Real Scotch Egg” recipe from the Two Fat Ladies cook book. They were very different from the Scotch Eggs I usually make; nice, but different.
I was knackered when I headed for bed, before 10pm.

HE SAID:
I was determined to finish up the yard work today. So, I used the chainsaw until the battery went flat, then tried to use one of Mike's petrol chainsaws but couldn't get it started. So, I used the block splitter for a short while before conceding that it didn't all need to be chopped perfectly, and used the wheelbarrow (with a bloody flat tyre!) to move the remaining logs up to the wood shed. That done, I dragged out the mower and mowed the front area, making the place look a lot better. I was sweaty, but happy with my efforts, finishing just around lunch time. There is now probably a touch more firewood than when we arrived three weeks ago!
