We thanked Dorte for their wonderful hospitality & headed for Yanchep, which was almost 300km north. I had booked us in for the night at the Yanchep Inn, which was in the Yanchep NP. I was very surprised that we’d not been in here before & found this lovely old place. Well, “Australian old”; 1930’s fake Tudor style buildings set around a drying out lake & green lawns.
There was room for Bertie to be parked near the rooms, which was perfect.
We had a wander around after sorting ourselves out. We saw Carnaby’s Cockatoos, Western Grey Kangaroos & surprisingly, Koalas (which aren’t native to WA). Dinner in “ye olde restaurant” was very nice.

HE SAID:
We are grateful to Dorte and Gary for their hospitality the last few days. It made our lives a lot easier, and Varena and Dorte got to hang out a lot more. The 300km drive was uneventful as we made our way to Yanchep. The Yanchep Inn is a nice place, but the units we were staying in were rather old, and very tired, and in need of a good refurb.
