Wednesday 27th March

SHE SAID:

We woke to the sounds of 100’s of Carnaby’s Cockatoos going off in the trees around us at the Yanchep Inn. After breakfast we walked back to see the Koalas again in hopes they would be closer & awake. They weren’t. We hit the road for Woodridge, arriving soon after 11am.

We were surprised to see that there was a ute parked right where Colin had suggested we park off Bertie!

Colin was out & Nicky said it was not working, so they’d just left it there. We eventually pushed it a little further along & managed to get the caravan clear of the drive around the shed.

We headed for Perth Airport arriving about 90 minutes before check-in, but we had nothing else to do & it was too hot to do much anyway. We flew to Singapore on Scoot Airlines, which I think is the budget arm of Singapore Airlines. A very full & squeezy plane.

HE SAID:

It was nice to have a bit of a wander around the Yanchep Inn area in the morning before heading North to Woodridge. I have no idea why Colin and Nicky had left their old, broken down ute right where they wanted us to park the van with a couple of months notice of when were arriving. There was quite a hot time in the 36 degree sun trying to sort that out, and in the end we only managed to push the ute a few metres, slightly out of the way. Varena and I will have to work out a way to turn the van around while we do the house-sit.

We were early to the airport, but it suited us. Having a drink to mark the occasion was a bit of a shock. The prices! Enough to say that I felt hugely ripped off with what they charged.
