SHE SAID:
Time to return to Bouvard.
With detours & stops it would be over 600km back. I took the less used roads to begin with, stopping several times, finding only finished orchids. I wasn’t overly fussed, as I’d seen what I went north to find.
The rest of the drive was uneventful & I got in just after 4.30pm. Geoff had the fire on; it was toasty warm inside.

There was some colour still out in the bush, just no more orchids that I saw |
HE SAID:
With the AFL Grand Final, the second Bledisloe Wallabies test against New Zealand, then the NRL semi-final taking up my day from about noon I managed to get the few task that I wanted to do done. Things such as some washing, cleaning the house, and sorting the chooks all got done. There were going to be some more outdoor jobs but we had several rain showers, so I put those off. Sydney lost to Brisbane in the AFL. The Wallabies lost to NZ. Penrith were too good for Cronulla. Varena returned around 4:30, and Kathy had called after lunch, so I had some other distractions during my footy-fest.
After dinner we watched Aquaman: Lost Kingdom, not realising it was the second in the series. Talk about light entertainment! Not a great film by any standard, but fine to have on as you sit by the fire chatting.
