Evelyn & I had a big day out; she picked me up at 7am. We were heading for Augusta, with multiple stops along the way, of which 2 I knew & the rest were her spots. It was an excellent day out, with at least 34 different orchids seen, including several hybrids.
She dropped me off back at Bouvard just after 6pm!
For dinner we had the homemade sausages that Tim (Boyup Brook house-sit owner) had made & given to us. They were tasty.

After doing my chores I thought I'd wash the ute. So I gave it a good tub, but despite my efforts I could not remove all the insects stuck to the headlights and bullbar; I tried! I also gave it a vacuum out, knowing full well that we'll have sand and dust etc everywhere in a few days. But it's nice while it lasts.
Well after lunch I checked my jottings from when I had read the huge owner's manual for the ute, and realised that I had noted that we hadn't had a tyre rotation yet (22,000km). For some reason it is not included in a service! Anyway, as I wanted to familiarise myself with the vehicle's jack, tools, spare wheel, and jacking points, I performed a 5 wheel rotation, incorporating the spare wheel, which helps with tyre wear. The job was done, but I got grubby from all the dust and mud on the spare wheel, as well as from the usual grot from changing a tyre.
