With Geoff seeking out vampires in Rockingham today I decided to go along to do a bit of shopping. I was looking for a replacement saucepan for the van, as our current one is dying, also one of the shelves for the spices has died. No luck with the saucepan. The ones we looked at were all too big or have 1 long handle which won’t fit in the cupboard. I found a set online, later, that suits our needs though!
After the bloodletting & Aldi shopping we returned to the house for lunch.
The weather is still iffy, so I didn’t head out in the afternoon to look for more orchids. I’ll be off tomorrow & the weekend no doubt!

We needed some groceries, and as I have been recently given the OK by the blood bank to resume donating after the excision from my back, I thought I'd see if I could donate as a walk-in, with the nearest donor centre being at Rockingham; the appointments online are so rigid as to be a pain. After dropping Varena at the mall I drove up the road to the donor centre, and they were happy to fit me in. My discussions with a nurse revealed that, despite all the appointments being filled, they get a lot of no-shows, so if I need to continue as a walk-in in future I reckon I'll be right most of the time. As it is my main way of giving back to the community I am glad to be donating once again.
