Monday 7th October

We saw orchids, including a rare one, did some shopping, sightseeing, & had lunch out today. A mixed bag but most enjoyable.
I had seen Friar Tuck's Irish Pub several times on our trips to Mandurah & suggested to Geoff we check it out. It so happened that Monday's special was Ribs, chips & salad at half price. We were both keen to try them & it was an excellent choice.
The route back was along Estuary Drive, a nice change from the main road, with water views & lots of “Mc-Mansions” to gawp at! I did manage to send us the wrong way when we hit the main road. It was a few kms down the road Geoff realised we weren’t going to get to the house anytime soon!
PS. We saw a ute coming towards us with a bulldog standing in the back tray with its front legs on top of the roof. It looked like it was having a ball, with its tongue flapping madly & it almost appeared to be grinning. Geoff managed to get a few still photos from the dash cam, not great quality, but you can see it.

After orchiding and shopping we went to lunch. I have had a few rather average meals of ribs in the past so it was a bit of a lottery, but today's meal was great! There was enough without being gluttonous. The chips were nicely cooked for a change. And the ribs and sauce were excellent! I was very pleased. I even managed a pint of Kilkenny to wash it down. Yum!
