Sunday 6th October
SHE SAID:
After 2 full days out in orchid ‘heaven’ it was time for a ‘home’ day.
I had promised to make Geoff brunch for a few days, so it happened, finally. We had tons of eggs here, both chicken & quails eggs. So, I made potato nests with baked quails eggs in them, & smoked salmon on the side. They seemed to get the tick of approval from hubby & used a heap of quails' eggs.
I got some chores done, cleaning & sorting out again in the van, ironing & catching up with the Blog.

HE SAID:
There were chores to be done before brunch, including changing a sprinkler head on the reticulation system here at the house. It blew off last night as we were getting ready for bed, when the watering system activated, spouting the full stream of water onto the driveway. Lucky we heard it at all, because if we had our earplugs in we probably wouldn't have.
Varena's potato baskets with eggs and salmon was very nice, and may get another go sometime. There were a few visits down to the chook yard during the day, and Skype sessions with Evan, and with Eileen and Carmel, but I mainly had a slack day before watching the NRL GF.
