SHE SAID:

Geoff & I were up at 3.45am, our plane to Sydney & Byron Bay was due to depart at 6am. Luckily, we were only 15 mins from the terminal. Finding the long-term parking was frustrating as it turned out to be a “new” parking area, poorly signposted, & the bus transfer area was a makeshift marquee! Trying to figure this out sleep deprived & in the dark was “interesting”.

Next the self check-in booths wouldn’t register the QR codes on our phones. Geoff ended up doing it manually, then the tags were on the wrong bags so wouldn’t read the tickets. By this stage we needed help!

The “final straw” was me forgetting that I had left a utility tool in my backpack, which of course was taken! Not too bright this dumb blonde.

HE SAID:

After a few hours of poor sleep, clockwatching, we were up and off to the airport. We are leaving the van at Advent Park and staying there for one night upon our return to Perth on Tuesday.

Kathy, Mick, and Jacqui met us at Ballina Airport. It's good to catch up with everyone again, with Paul in his element, telling his stories.
