SHE SAID:

Dorte & Gary came over for a swim & dinner around 4pm. They have hosted us heaps of times so it was nice to return the hospitality.

I made Salmon Blinis & cheese straws to have with drinks after our swim. Then we had Honey Sriracha Chicken, rice, & salads for main, followed by raspberry trifle for dessert. I had mentioned to Dorte that I’d made trifle last week for the first time in years & she said she loved it! So, I promised I’d make it tonight!

It all went down well. I made the chicken with ½ the required Sriracha Sauce & it was the right heat for me, though Dorte had extra sauce on the side!

The lawn here keeps growing. I last mowed it only 9 days ago, but as Dorte and Gary were coming over I decided to give it another go this morning to neaten it up. It does look nice when it is freshly mowed.

Varena put on some very tasty tucker this arvo, as usual. We had a dip in the pool and then a couple of drinks as we grazed on smoke salmon blinis and cheese straws. Dorte and Varena had a few Aperols, while Gary and I stuck to beer. Dinner was a very tasty, and new, dish of chicken in a sriracha and honey sauce. It was very tasty, and I know that there is enough for another go in a couple of days. Cool. We chatted, and enjoyed a few more drinks, on the patio during the pleasant evening.
