SHE SAID:
Geoff & I were invited to Dorte & Gary’s for dinner. We were to join Jess, Barb & Pete, who were staying there, plus another friend of Gary’s, Fred.
I made some cheese straws, which I haven’t made for years, & some fresh salsa to go with the corn chips. We also took cheeses, dips & crackers. There was a feast just with the nibbles & Dorte added a few extras too. The ladies had Aperol Spritzers to drink, a colourful tasty Italian drink.
The freshly caught, pan-fried Snapper, green salad, & garlic bread for mains went down very nicely later in the evening. It was a good night, & warm enough to sit outside.
HE SAID:
Kieran advised me to check, and clean, the house gutters monthly to prevent problems. There are some tall gum trees near the house that seem to be always dropping leaves, but mainly into the pool! I think he said that he gets on the roof and walks around, clearing by hand. I took a different approach, climbing a ladder and trying to use the smaller of the 2 leaf blowers to blow the leaves out. Whilst not 100% successful it seemed to give moderate results.
We headed down to Yelverton around 4pm and had an enjoyable evening with Dorte, Gary, Jess, Peter, and Barb.
