Sunday 9th February

SHE SAID:

We had a morning jaunt across to the coast. We hadn’t been to Wilyabrup Cliffs before, so I thought it would make for a good leg stretch. The car park was 1km from the cliffs, over limestone dunes. There is a rock climbing & abseiling area set up at the cliff face, though there weren’t any “nuts” jumping off the end today!

I got a few photos along the coastline then we returned the same way.

I enjoyed the outing & managed to get Geoff back to the house in good time for the cricket!

After lunch I re-read our first Blog Book. Plenty of memories jogged in that book. From leaving Darwin & going across to the top of WA, into the Bungle Bungles. Then across the Tanami Desert, seeing it in flower, getting stuck in Dalhousie Springs for 10 days due to flooding. Snapping my Achilles Tendon on New Years Eve in Perth, starting off house-sitting, changing from EggBert to Bertie the Billabong, AND getting into orchids!

It was the 29th July 2011, I saw my first orchid, a Cupped Banded Greenhood, then the 9th August my very first Cowslip, in Foxes Lair in Narrogin! Nearly all of the names in the book for the orchids are incorrect! LOL!

HE SAID:

The morning out was a nice change, especially as it was somewhere new for us both. I think Varena was making mental notes on where to look for orchids as we drove along.

The cricket didn’t last long, as Australia cleaned up Sri Lanka and then quickly scored the required 75 runs. A good win, but again I am robbed of a day’s cricket tomorrow. Oh well...
