Day 2 of the Capes tour, and we headed for the central area around Margaret River. We stopped in Cowaramup, and drove straight through Margaret River to the Raptor Centre. Jac & Mick had never been to one before. They have been saving injured & orphaned raptors; eagles, kites owls etc. since the 1980's.
We had lunch at the White Elephant Cafe, overlooking the little beach in Prevelly, then checked out 2 wineries on Jac’s list from her winemaker brother, Martin. And the one I said they had to see, Voyager Estate, I think Jacqui was impressed!
We managed to squeeze in the Beer Farm on the way back to the house too.

The biggest surprise of the day, for me at least, was that the statue of the golden cow on a post in Cowaramup was missing! I assume for maintenance, but I had dragged Mick though the park to see it, and there it was, gone!
Mick and I had fish and chips for lunch, but still managed another of Varena’s lovely dinners. Mind you, I was full as a goog afterwards.
