It was a wet, freezing cold day but I had a few plans. I needed new orchid trousers, one of my current pairs has 2 tears which are slowly growing. I also wanted to get a new mat for Bertie & get a pedicure. The pedicure will have to wait, the place was too busy, so I did the grocery shopping instead & returned to the house.
I went back into town for the Esperance Wildflower Society meeting at 12.30pm. It is the first one I have been to; there were 9 of the 20 members present. It was the annual AGM, so a little boring, but I got to meet some of the other members.
There was a small pile of ironing waiting for me when I returned, then I made the Chicken Cacciatore for dinner. Great comfort food on a wintry night!

While Varena was out this morning I made some chocolate brownies. I'd forgotten that we didn't have enough eggs, so I had to dart out to IGA and buy Australia's dearest eggs: $11 a dozen. My fault for not getting some at Woolies, or anywhere really.
