I made a double batch of Chocolate Chip Cookies & got a Thai Red Curry on to slow cook for dinner, before heading out to Woody Lake & Dempster Head for a look around. Nothing too exciting was seen, though there were lots of small patches of Snails, with a few out in most areas. This was a different part of Dempster than my usual areas; it’s good to broaden the locations.
It was a beautiful day, mild & no wind, surprisingly.

HE SAID:
Beautiful aromas wafted aound the house all day today, with biscuits and curry tantalising my taste buds. I tackled some more jobs around the van, totally buggering up the servicing of the van’s hydraulic jack by stripping the thread on the fluid reservoir. After a couple of hours, and a few other jobs, I remembered that I had actually done exactly the same thing nine years ago when I last serviced the jack. What a dill. Anyway, I vaguely remembered that the advice last time was to belt the snot out of the threaded area with a centre punch and hammer, which crushes the existing thread, allowing a new thread to be created when you screw the breather screw in. A job for tomorrow, I think,
