With a warm 28C day expected we decided to stay around the Inlet today. We did a 4km walk to Hamersley Beach, it was warm & windy, but worth the hike to the beautiful empty beach. We did get sandblasted walking across the sandbar, the wind was gusting to 50km p/h at times.
Only Snail Orchids were seen on the walk.
We ate lunch outside & I stayed out there till after 3pm, when the sun came over the van; we had taken the awning down because of the strong winds. We spied Spotted Pardalots, Fairy Wrens, & Grey Fantails zipping around the bush in search of a feed.

I racked up my 10,000 steps before lunch, with our scenic bush walk to the beach. It was a bit of a surprise to meet a family in the track as we headed back to the van. Sitting out in the warm afternoon was nice, especially as it is still winter!
