Nikki & I had one more full orchiding day today; not too far for a change: Merivale Rock, & Cape Le Grand National Park, which are about 60km east of Esperance. The weather was perfect, mild, sunny with a slight breeze.
We had another good tally of finds, both at Merivale & a few spots in CLG. The highlight was the mass of Mosquito Orchids growing at the end of the walking trail at Rossiter Bay. I knew they grew there, but I wasn’t really expecting them in such huge numbers, freshly out, & so tall & spindly! It was a lovely sight!
Chicken & salads for dinner went down nicely on this mild night.

There were a few things that needed doing at the house, mainly washing, so I stayed in for the day. We are heading off on Thursday so getting things sorted, and not at the last minute, seemed sensible.
