Both Nikki & I were ready to depart before 7.15am. My planned route went astray when I remembered a couple of different locations in the area. Once again, we had success at every stop. We could have done without the millions of mosquitoes that descended on us at Needilup. Despite being covered in repellent they still tried, it was really bad!
We had one stop on the way back, with two 2 hour drives in between. The rain began about 90 minutes from Esperance & continued lightly all the way to the house. A couple of mini “heart attack” moments, with 1 emu close to the road & another one with 4 to 6 babies on the roadside too.Tthankfully both times they moved into the bush & not toward the oncoming ute!
It was almost 6pm when we got back to the house. Geoff had offered to make pasta for dinner which was very well received by us both.

With Varena and Nikki returning this arvo I did the usual vac, mop, washing. The weather in Esperance is so changeable that in the end I ended up moving most of the washing from the clothes line to airing racks inside the house, to make sure that they dried. I also offered to make tonight's dinner, Pasta Carbonara, so that Varena could have one less thing to do and worry about upon her return.
