SHE SAID:
Geoff was off visiting friends again, so I asked him to drop me on Black Mountain. I did a 5km walk across the mountain looking for orchids; I wasn’t very successful. The points I had there were no signs at most of & the ones that were there were either finished or leaves only. I am a bit late for most of them.
Geoff kindly picked me up at the other side of the mountain, close to Camel & Scott’s. In the afternoon Eileen & co, plus Meg & her daughter Sarah came over for afternoon tea & to see us. It was the usual chatty affair.
Carmel & I made Strawberry Margaritas; they worked well.

HE SAID:
I was over at Jamie and Tongtong’s place in Casey by 10:30. I had not met their two kids, Jaxon and Taega, who are 3 and nearly 1. We all chatted away, as you do, and around noon Tongtong whipped up an quick Asian hotpot. I just had a small bowl, and it was tasty, though spicier than I would usually have. Collecting Varena on the way back to Carmel’s we took it easy for a couple of hours before arvo tea, catching up on the family news.
