SHE SAID:
After saying goodbye to Carmel & Scott we hit the road north. We are dropping in on Mari & Brett in Glenmore Park; we haven’t seen them for about 7 years! As always, the conversation covered all topics & it was like we saw them months ago rather than 7 years!
From there it was about ½ hour drive up the mountain to Lawson. It is the first time I have seen Mick and Jac’s house fully renovated & moved into; this happened almost 5 years ago! It is great now, a much nicer, more comfortable house; they have done a great job.
We celebrated our arrival with Pink Grapefruit Margaritas for us girls & Mick’s home brew for the boys, followed by garlic prawn linguine & sticky date pudding.

HE SAID:
Carmel and Scott looked after us really well and we had a great few days with them. Varena and I left O’Connor well before 10 and stopped at Pheasant’s Nest to top up the nightmare car again. We used the long wait to have some lunch, then headed off again to Mari and Brett’s in Glenmore Park by around 2pm. Our chatty few hours raced by with lots of chat and laughter. Mick and Jac were very welcoming, as usual, and we enjoyed drinks and a tasty dinner and more chats.
