SHE SAID:
Geoff had arranged to meet a mate at the Southlands shops for breakfast at 8.30am. So, we headed off just before 8am. The car started beeping, with a lower tyre pressure warning, so we turned around & went to a service station. It was down a little bit, not enough to be of concern.
John never showed up at the arranged place, didn’t answer his phone, so we had breakfast & went to his place. He thought it was next week!
After that we did a couple more things in the Farrer & Woden area & got back to Carmel & Scott’s around 2pm. Geoff did contact Europcar about getting a different car, but apparently “none” are available, I think that is BS.
Carmel seemed keen to find out what this orchid hunting was all about, so we went to Black Mountain, which is less than a km from the house. I was happily surprised that we found 3 types flowering, 2 of which Carmel found! LOL, having never seen them before!
For dinner we took Carmel & Scott out, to say thanks for their hospitality. They chose Inka, a Japanese /Peruvian restaurant in Braddon. It was….

This bloody car! It is crap. The driving experience is awful. Acceleration is amazing, which I believe is normal for full electric vehicles, but everything else is the opposite of that.
Varena and I enjoyed our breakfast at Southlands. John missed out. My messages were open to interpretation I realise now. Oh well. We had a chat for a bit at his place.
Dinner at Inka was very nice. I don't think I have ever had Peruvian-Japanese food before. Very enjoyable.
