SHE SAID:
Geoff, myself,
Mum and John spent the day at the Eden Project, which is a huge
"experimental garden", formally a clay quarry. It was started in
the late 1990's by a group of people keen on rejuvenating the quarry
to make sustainable Biomes of different ecological regions.
It was an
interesting day out, though not really to Geoff's taste, l think.
Geoff and l had
a drink at the charming little harbour of Charlestown before meeting
Mum and John for dinner in the Mediterranean Biome.

HE SAID:
The Eden Project is something I would never have bothered with if Varena had not wanted to go there. The place is a large garden, built in a disused quarry, with some sheltered areas to support different plants from different climates. It was a pleasant, though expensive, stroll through a park. I understand that some people want to preserve things and educate people at the same time. Many of these people are really well meaning, clever, and the world would be worse for their loss. However, I don't have to go to all their hippie gardens, do I?
