SHE SAID:

We left Birmingham today, heading northwards again. This time our destination was Nottingham. There was no rush to get there though, as the arrival time at the BnB isn't till 6pm. Rather late in my mind!

I had a vague route planned to fill the day, including a stroll around Birmingham Uni & its old buildings, then to Leicester - because it's there. Lunch was at Ashby de la Zouch, because it has a strange name; afternoon tea at Chalke Abbey, because it is on the way, kind of. Then we found ourselves at Breedon on the Hill!

We got to the next BnB, in central Nottingham, just after 5pm after receiving a text that we were welcome anytime after 5pm!

SERIOUSLY...who would use these guys!

HE SAID:

It was a pleasant day just poking around on our way to "Notts". I looked up the name origins, and Nottingham is supposedly, according to Wikipedia, named after a Saxon chieftain named Snot.
