Geoff
left the flat in high spirits this morning; he texted me from the bus
stop saying he'd just seen the Aussie team get on their coach for the
grounds!
I
headed into the town for a bit of retail therapy...no hubby to slow
me down!
Before
lunch I had woeful reports from Geoff of the Aussies'
performance...all out for 60 - the usual score for a 5 day test should
be more like 300+!

| Our next stop - Geoff had "The Holy Grail" Ale on tap. We assume it has been endorsed by the Monty Python crew as their name was all over it |

| Here there was a beer/ale/larger tasting bar set up, so Geoff was in his element. He also found a couple of ex-cricketers to bother too! |

HE SAID:
A very memorable day of cricket but for all the wrong reasons. I was rather stunned, sitting there watching the embarrassing procession of Australian batsmen come and go. I had an awful feeling of dread and a nervous sweat. Once we had scored over 47 I felt a little better, but the whole 111 balls of the innings was just indescribably bad.
