SHE SAID:

On the south-bound road again today, heading for Wolverhampton to spend a night with Steve & Jo again. We detoured off the motorway to have a short walk around Blackpool; I think it is known as the “tackiest town in England”. Now we have seen it, I can understand why! It might look better at night!

We got to Wolverhampton around 4pm, just in time for Geoff to settle in & watch the 2 Rugby World Cup matches that were on. With a curry for dinner & plenty of beer he was well happy for the night.

HE SAID:

Blackpool is a little odd. I am sure that the residents not involved with the waterfront arcades and amusements have their own opinions, but at the waterfront it is all "glam" and money pits. It is probably fun for the kids, but I reckon that once would be enough for the adults; there are only so many times you can spend a few pounds on winning a one pound toy that you don't want.
