SHE SAID :

We headed to the south coast of Suffolk for a look around. With Sutton Hoo, the Anglo Saxon burial mounds the first stop, on to Orford Tower, Adleburgh, Thorpeness and Southwold. Plenty of photo opportunities for me, from beaches, castles, towering houses and nuclear power plants!

We even managed a rather wind blown lunch on a "beach"!

Heading back to the BnB with one last photo stop on the cards, and we almost missed it....4pm and it was getting dark...yuck!

The House in the Clouds - it was built as a water tower.
The locals wanted it disguised as a house & now it has been made into a house

Southwold Car park huts!!! They don't even face the sea!

HE SAID:

As it was lunch time and not raining we decided it would be a giggle to have lunch on the beach, just as we would do in Australia.

Today was a little different though: For a start, it was really blowy, but we persisted. Then we plonked ourselves down on the pebbles hoping to keep our pants dry, and sat admiring the turgid brown water slosh onto the "beach", with a nuclear power station as our backdrop.

At least the sun poked its way out.
