SHE SAID:

I read that the flood bypass loop road from Bedourie was a something to do! So having the day free we decided to do it. The first 50km was on bitumen; they (the council), are slowly bitumizing all the roads out this way. The flood bypass road was much more as I expected the roads out here to be: narrow, rough, & dusty. We did the 180km round trip in about 3 hours, with stops to check out flowers, birds, & sand dunes.

The sunset tonight was the most interesting we've had so far on the trip, so I froze in the breeze as the sun went down, until Geoff kindly brought me my jacket!

I have found Elvis; he is in the Bedourie Roadhouse!

The list of things to do from Bedourie is a bit limited so we went for a scenic drive. While not spectacular, it was still interesting. There were signs of animal life quite regularly, including a boomer and his blue flyer (male and female Red Kangaroos).
