SHE
SAID:
We
had a morning touring around a couple of places in Bathurst. There is a
12 hour race at Mount Panorama so we couldn't get into there without
joining the hordes.
Abercrombie
House was an interesting old place, built in the mid 1800's. It is
still lived in today, with the current owners painstakingly restoring
it when funds permit. They have many open days, functions, high teas
etc which helps with the upkeep & continuous works that need
doing.
We
were back at the house for lunch & I had a cooking afternoon.
I
had another go at the Bacon & Onion Suet Pudding, mixing it all
together like my Nan used to do, rather than making a suet pastry
crust with the filling inside. It turned out lovely, more dumpling-like this time.

HE SAID:
Bathurst reminded us both a little of Ballarat, with the older style buildings. Varena then spent the afternoon making yummy things!
The BBL semi final rounded out my day, though I am getting a feeling that Varena is getting a little tired of cricket being on TV. Nah! Couldn't be!
