SHE SAID:

Geoff & I had a touring 1/2 day today. First stop was the lovely old town of Millthorpe, which is off the road to Orange; lots of old buildings, cafes, antique shops & a couple of winery outlets.

Returning to Bathurst via Blayney we had a tour of the Chifley Home, the Prime Minister from the mid 1940's. Then we had lunch out at the Two Heads Brewery, which is in the Old Crago Mill. I tried a local Bathurst white wine & Geoff had a couple of the beers. Along with tasty food it was a pleasant lunch stop.

Back at the house it was finally warm enough to sit out on the deck in the hammock enjoying the views with a cuppa in hand.

HE SAID:

Millthorpe, Chifley Home and the Two Heads Brewery were all good places. Blayney was a bit of a let down, as there was nothing really interesting that we noticed. Two Heads brewery had beer and lunch, so won my prize as the best place of the day. I tried the Golden Ale and it was very nice. The XPA, which is an Extra Pale Ale, was good too, but not ahead of the Golden. Due to limited stocks remaining for sale, I ended up buying a 4 pack of the Porter. And it was pretty good.
