Saturday 17th March

SHE SAID:

After a huge breakfast we were taken on a tour of Hermanus for a couple of hours. I had been here before but nothing was familiar; it has grown in popularity and size somewhat!

Then we followed behind Tina and Ramzie back to Cape Town, arriving around 2.30pm. We came in over the very scenic Sir Lowry's Pass, False Bay stretches out in front of you and the peninsula that goes to Cape Point. On seeing this view again I had goosebumps. I was really excited to finally be back here again after so long.

After settling into The Cottage, which is a 2 bedroom place attached to the main house, we headed into Cape Town city for the Carnival and a late dinner.

I had to pinch myself to make sure I am not dreaming; I'm really back in Cape Town after about 30 years!!!

HE SAID:

Varena has been so excited to be heading back to Cape Town, so now the waiting is over, and she is very pleased.

I met Tina's father and two daughters briefly before we zoomed out to the Cape Town Carnival parade. I think we all got over it fairly quickly, as it was still going when a general consensus had us seek out dinner at a nearby restaurant.
