Thursday 16th August

SHE SAID:

Victoria here we come. It is almost 2 years since we were last here!

We left the caravan park around 9.30am with only just over 100km to go to Mallacoota, our next stop on the journey. We were set up & having a cuppa at the Shady Gully Caravan Park by 11.30am!

After a brief trip into town for supplies we had lunch & headed out into the Croajingolong National Park. Mallacoota is a wildflower hotspot, & I had high hopes of seeing a few orchids! Though, like NSW, it is really dry here, so the likelihood of lots is diminished.

The final spot we looked we found more than just leaves. Two flowering orchids! Phew, the trip wasn't a total waste!

HE SAID:

It was a short and easy drive to Mallacoota. I think we were the only tourist van in the whole van park, which is fine by me.
