SHE
SAID:
Our
final day in Mullewa; we had a short drive to the lookout & did
the Bushland Walking Trail. We were surprised to find a few
Hairy-Stemmed Snail Orchids in the gully. There are more & more
wattles coming out too.
It
was a quiet Sunday afternoon other than that morning stroll. Our next
destination is Geraldton, so I did some research for our stay there.
HE SAID:
The morning walk was only about 3km, and with only a few orchids found it did not take very long. This was convenient for me as there was footy followed by the cricket World Cup final on TV.
We were rocked a little just after lunch. We were in the van and felt some unusual rocking motions. The van can rock side to side a bit in windy weather, and it was a bit breezy. But being an unusual type of motion, front to back, I actually went outside to check what was going on. I found nothing unusual to see, and the motion didn't happen again, so we just shrugged and thought nothing of it. Then, a couple of hours later, we read online that there had been quite a large earthquake that could be felt from Darwin to Perth, so that must have been the cause of our rockin' and rollin'.
