Sunday 21st July

SHE SAID:

We had a drive north today, up as far as the Indian Ocean Drive, then down along that coast road south; trying to break up the orchid hunting with a bit of sightseeing too.

We found a few orchids as well as some Free Camps not in any books (maybe we will stop at one of them in the future). Our morning tea stop was at Freshwater Point, a nice scenic spot, though the beach was completely covered in sea grass.

Next stop was Leeman, just because, then we came back along the Leeman-Eneabba Road searching again for orchids. Yes, we had some success in a coupe of spots.

Dinner was an “inside BBQ”, the weather too wet, windy & cold to set up outside. It still went down well.

HE SAID:

With vague assurances that someone might buy me lunch on our drive today we headed out. Leeman was looking the most likely lunch spot, and I had fish and chips in mind, but our timing was way out and we were back at the van for lunch. I think I may have a credit there.
