SAID:
We
woke to find the “wagon train” had already started to move off.
The park was emptying out as we headed off on the tourist drive
around Mount Magnet. There were plenty of gold mines, large &
small, with many man-made hills dotting the skyline. Not the most
scenic drive we have done.
Getting
further out we stopped briefly at the ghost town of Lennonville, which
once had 3,000 inhabitants. Now all that remains is the railway platform. Further on we
did see some interesting rusty coloured granite rocks, & wind
weathered caves which stood out brilliantly against the brilliant blue
sky.
The
scenic drive was only 37km long & we were back to the van park
for lunch.

A short drive and a few short walks. That was our morning.
