 Monday 24th April

SHE SAID:

We left in the rain from Leschenault, heading only an hour or so down the road to the Southern Stars Caravan Park, where we are storing Bertie for the month-long house sit.

The weather was probably worse when we got to the storage, so we took our time packing some overnight stuff. We headed into Busselton for a burger lunch at the Albie Hotel, which was very tasty.

We got to the house in Vasse around 4pm & had an enjoyable evening with Karen & Mike, who were excellent hosts.

Our final night at Leschenault - a nice fire to
round out our 2 1/2 months there.

It was toasty warm around the brazier

HE SAID:

We said our farewells to Sue and Doug and drove into the rain towards Vasse. It only poured for some of the way, the rest it just rained. As we were in no hurry I took it very easy on the wet roads, and we had a trouble-free drive. Mike and Karen looked after us very well, and we enjoyed a few drinks and dinner, with lots of chatting and amusing stories.
