We had a quiet day, though plans to go out in the evening.
Our evening's entertainment was a “Suitcase Stage Show” of the book “A Fortunate Life”, by Albert Facey. There were 3 actors playing 89 parts (including animals), with minimal props & a cinema screen behind them for scenery & scenes.
Albert Facey’s life was sad, happy, tragic, cruel, & harsh, but he still remained positive through it all. The book is an amazing read about life in the early 1900’s in WA.

HE SAID:
If I'd not read the book, and enjoyed it so much, I would probably have not gone along to the stage show. Overall it was an enjoyable evening out, commencing with some over-the-top wanna-be ultra-gayness with our light dinner at the nearby steakhouse, where the 60+ year old man kept loudly calling everyone "Girlfriend", admiring their attire, and being really quite annoying. The amusing part of it vanished really quickly. The other front of house person was clearly shy, and we barely heard a peep from them. My guess is that they were still in some sort of accustomisation phase and not used to be in public in female clothes.
The play took a few minutes to warm up to, with three actors playing all the roles, and passing a blue neckerchief to whomever was playing the main character, Albert. But, it was well done and a good show. We even stayed on afterwards for a brief Q and A session.
