SHE SAID:
It was a rain filled day today.
We did have a short morning drive to one orchid location. We had about an hour look around & got pretty soaked. It was time to give up & go back to the van for a hot lunch, of eggs, bacon, baked beans & mushrooms.
We stayed warm & dry for the rest of the day inside Bertie.

HE SAID:
My trusty warm jacket did a good job today, until I felt a couple of damp patches. I looked it up online and found that it was water resistant, not water-proof. I guess we got enough rain to cross its threshold. This is the first time I have felt any dampness wearing this jacket, so hopefully next time I will remember that it is not a miracle coat, and that the rain will eventually soak through.
