Tuesday 6th June
SHE SAID:
Winter seems to have set in now. The top temperature today was 11C, feels like 6C, with a southerly wind; brrrr. We ventured out for about 1 ½ hours just before lunch when we hit the top temperature for the day...11C!
Only one reserve yielded orchids, with the pick being some unusual yellow Hares, with vague dark markings. I was happy with that find.
We turned for home after this find, back to a toasty warm Bertie.

Today was very cold. The breeze made it worse! We delayed heading out as the rain radar showed plenty of rain coming our way, but after a while we realised that it was dissipating as it moved inland. So, off we went for a couple of hours. We were back for a late lunch and to stay warm for the rest of the day. I made pesto pasta for dinner.
