Saturday 10th June
SHE SAID:
We had a 90 minute wander around Wandering; very little in the way of orchids. It is too weedy, with farms all around the area.
The main task of the day was to get the trip to Japan, the UK, & Italy organised. I’ve made good progress but haven’t booked anything yet. Hopefully soon.
The rain returned in short sharp squalls throughout the afternoon, but it was nice not to get wet this time around!

HE SAID:
Just before we left Darkan on Wednesday and headed to Wandering I noticed that one of the van tyres looked a little low in pressure. So, after our fruitless morning walk, I checked it out and found a screw well embedded in the tread. I don't need to jack up the van very often but today had to. So, I got the wheel off, fixed the leak, and put it all back to how it should be. It took a bit longer than expected (as always), because I had to make a couple of trips to the opposite of the house to get things from the car. We don't need any more of these.
Varena made a very tasty roast chicken dinner in the evening, and I managed to stay up until about 12:45am watching the World Test Championship Final. I just couldn't quite get to the end of the day's play! Australia are in a good position, needing 7 more wickets tomorrow, while India need another 280 runs. Lets hope it doesn't rain at The Oval today.
