Tuesday 27th June
SHE SAID:
Kylie, Ean, Macenzie & Keeta were back on the road around 8.30am, for their Northern Territory adventure.
We had a fairly quiet day. There was a trip for us both to the Retreat, book-exchange, petrol station & a short walk on the Lovers Cove Track for me.
The leftover curries were enough for us both for dinner.
PS We had a fairly sunny day, with only one quick little rain shower early in the day!
The fungi is loving all this rain |
Memories come flooding back when we go out to the Retreat... |
HE SAID:
Kylie, Ean and the girls headed out after breakfast to collect the van and head east, aiming for Cocklebiddy tonight. There are weather warnings for unseasonal wet weather passing through central Australia today and tomorrow, so they will monitor the situation regularly and decide how to stage their northward progress to avoid it. And, hopefully their new, two years old, 200 series Landcruiser does all they want it to do on this 5 week trip. Today will be the first time that they have towed the van with it, so there may be some minor adjustments needed.
