SHE
SAID:
Yet again a drizzly start to the day; it almost seemed to clear up last night! Teasing me!
We did go out for a few hours. Firstly into town, then to the van again, & finally Merivale Rock area. We managed to find 4 flowering orchids, so I was happy. Nothing new for the season, but 2 of them were new for the area for me.
The afternoon was spent researching our likely American Adventure! We have been offered a free trip to Miami to look after a house for a month. So, of course, we have to have a bit of a look around whilst we are there. Which means we have decided that the Italian tour is off (too expensive to do both!). We have suggested to the Miami people that we fly over from the UK, which will make it much cheaper for them, & we will return to the UK too, so Mum gets to see us twice in a year; how lucky is she! (Assuming this all comes off of course).

I kept Varena happy by finding a couple of orchids. It also entertains me a bit more, rather than slogging aimlessly through the bush. The evening had the first day of the 2nd Ashes test. So, I was fine until well after midnight, but, as usual, could not last until the end of play.
