Kathy & I headed west for a hunt today. I was most disappointed that the Donkeys at Mill Road were still in tight bud. I did find a couple of Hairy-stemmed Snails, though!
Thankfully, we did get to see some Donkeys at Munglinup. Kathy had rung the roadhouse yesterday & they said there were some out.
We had mixed success in the 3 burns we visited. There were heaps of Red Beaks budding, & Cowslips leaves in all of the burns, & some of the other orchids starting to make an appearance were Spiders, Chinas, & Pink Fairies (all budding or leaves).
Arriving back to Esperance it was pouring with rain & blowing a gale. Thankfully out where we had been we managed we avoided the rain!
PS We enjoyed salt caramel chocolate for “World Chocolate Day”.
A rather empty cemetery - only 5 graves were marked here |

There were a couple of things to do at the van, so I took Charli for a brief outing to the retreat. I made a second, solo, outing after lunch to get a few things from the shops. It seems that my judgement on avocado ripeness is not honed enough, as the one I bought was deemed too firm. I tried!
Varena had found marinated kangaroo fillets in Woolies a few days ago, and we had them tonight. Very tasty.
Cricket in the evening kept me entertained until after 1am. I was knackered!
