I had a mostly solo day out, checking & re-checking a few orchids spots. I was very happy to find Donkeys out in a couple of places. A couple of new areas were found too, but not much was seen, so I won’t return to them.
Kathy had a couple of hours free in the mid-afternoon & we caught up for a walk out to a granite outcrop on Myrup Road. I was happy to find a few Donkeys out there for her!
Back at the house Geoff had the place toasty warm & I was happy to flake out after a hot shower. I managed to clock up over 10,000 steps, which is almost 7km of wanderings!

HE SAID:
I left the orchid nuts to nut-about the district without me and managed to complete some minor tasks.
Once again I was very grateful that my small, but much-appreciated self-funded pension was paid today.
My Skype session with Mum, in the late afternoon, was a bit of a concern. She'd had some issues overnight, and been to her scheduled cardio appointment in the morning, but appeared fatigued and quite crook. Mum's breathing seemed shallow, and she needed to clear her throat regularly. Mum's symptoms reminded me of how she was when she got diagnosed as needing a pacemaker. On top of that she had the mystery fall in March, has had food problems, a broken rib, and knackered shoulder muscles that required cortisone injections. It was bad enough that at one stage I offered to call her a doctor, but she assured me that she was feeling better.
Even so, after our Skype I rang my sister Eileen and asked her to call Mum and make an assessment. Eileen got back to me and said that she thought mum was ordinary, but OK. We'll see!
