SHE SAID:
Geoff, Kathy & I headed for Mt Ridley today. We have had several dry & windy days, so we were hoping the roads have dried out.
I thought we’d be way too early to see anything, & that proved to be correct, but even going just before we leave I doubt there will be anything more out. But we wanted to have a look anyhow.
We did have more luck later in the day, when Dwarf Shells, Midget Greenhoods & almost open Sigmoid Spiders were found. (Not that we will ever find the Sigmoids again, they were in heavy bush with little “landmarks’ to get us back there!).

HE SAID:
Mt Ridley is just a touch over 100km from Esperance, with a bit less than half of that on dirt roads. We picked a good day to head out there as the roads were dry and firm, though there were some chewed up bits where large vehicles had been driving while the roads were wet. This didn't really affect us, so the only potential problems were on the last section of road where there were some large-ish puddles. We had no issues and managed to do some fairly fruitless searching. Overall, it was a fairly long day, getting back to the house well after 4pm.
NSW managed to not lose in the third State of Origin in the evening. Queensland has already won 2 matches, so this one was really just to prevent a clean-sweep. I enjoyed the match, and the outcome, but it would be nice to have some more series wins.
