Mel & I had a great day. We checked out her friend's place, about 30km out of Pingelly. They are on a station in a 100-year-old ex-Cobb & Co. wayside inn. We found 10+ orchid types around the granites there.
We had another 6 or 7 stops for the day, with good success at most. We saw Donkeys, Blue Beards, Shells, Snails, Spiders & Jugs. I think we were both pretty knackered by the time we got back to Pingelly.

HE SAID:
There were things to do around the place. One job was a mere bulb change in a hallway light fitting. However, to access it I needed to scramble over a fair bit of crap on the garage floor to grab a tall ladder, then work out which bulb was the correct type (it ended up being an old-style incandescent was the only spare that fit), then put the ladder back. It probably took 15 minutes to change that light bulb!
Mum seems to be going 2 steps forward, one step back. But, at least now there are murmurings of a possible return home.
