Friday 8^th September

SHE SAID:

Nat & Mike are returning today; we had the house already by around 11am. We got 90% of our stuff packed back into Bertie then hitched up & moved him out of the way & down onto the fire break.

They rolled in around 12:30pm. We had a chat & then let them sort everything out; their turn to move things from the van to the house!

I made the “Two Fat Ladies” real Scotch Eggs for dinner. They are made with finely chopped ham, & breadcrumbs. Rather different from the way I learnt how to make them. We had salad & potato gems to go with, & sticky date pudding & caramel sauce for dessert.

Varena made another tasty dinner, making Scotch Eggs the way that Kylie, in Esperance, had shown her. They were different, and very good, though Varena was not happy with the slightly crumbly coating. And the sticky date pud was good, too. I ate too much food!
