 Saturday 9th September

SHE SAID:

We said goodbye to Nat & Mike, and Obi & Willow, the cats, & were on the road around 9.30am. We had just under 300km to go to Dryandra Woodland for our 1 night camping.

We were very disappointed to find that both Gnaala Mia & Congelin camp grounds were full. Every time we have been before there is either no one else or only a couple of other vans! I was pissed off, big time, as there is no where to even pull in for lunch or a walk.

Giving up on Dryandra completely we headed to Pumphrey’s Bridge FC, 18km further on, which was also quite busy, but we did find a spot away from other people.

Lots of colourful Cowslips at
our morning tea stop

HE SAID:

We left Albany and headed up to Dryandra, about 300km away. We were so surprised that it was all full, and that there was a campground host. Both new to us, and disappointing. So, no orchids or numbats at our camp tonight. Pumphrey's Bridge was also popular, but not full. So, we set up as far from other people as we could, only 60 - 80 metres, then had a late, light lunch. I also set up the satellite TV and watched the AFL semi-final.
