SHE SAID:
It seemed like a very long night & day for us, sleeping “cattle class” on the planes isn’t great, then trying to just keep going through the day, is hard.
Daniel met us at the airport & lent us his car for the duration, which is brilliant. We got to the house at Farrer & sorted ourselves out.
Eileen & Neil arrived for a catch up & to put us in the picture with the latest happenings. The funeral, the wake afterwards etc is all in hand, but we have offered to do anything that is needed.
The rest of the day was quiet & we had an early night.

My guess is that I had around 2 hours of uncomfortable, broken sleep on the flight to Melbourne. And, none on the Canberra leg. So, a very long night followed by a long day. The things we do...
Having Dan's car is a real bonus. Luckily for us he recently moved into a flat only a 3 minute walk from work, gyms, and many eateries. It will be very convenient for us over the next week. Thank you Daniel!
Arriving at the house at Farrer was a bit strange, knowing that Mum was not going to be there. Sometimes it doesn't seem real. But, we got ourselves sorted out. I sprayed for weeds around the house, washed down the outdoor setting, tested the mower, then zoomed out for groceries, and some beverages.
