Geoff & I have been married 24 years today! Am I even that old? LOL!
To celebrate I took Geoff out orchid hunting, of course. We stayed in the Torndirrup National Park, which surrounds Goode Beach, & had some finds. A few new for the year orchids were seen, one being the Rattle Beaks, which seem to have been budding for months but are finally appearing.
Once again the weather forecasters should forfeit their pay... The rainy showers were supposed to ease off in the early morning, but we managed to get soaked around midday! Great job, that you can get wrong all the time & still get paid!
Anyhow, one soaked hubby was dropped off at the house, & an equally soaked me went back out again. I managed to find a rare Bird Orchid flowering in a new spot, also some Cowslips & King-in-his-Carriage Hammer Orchids. I also got another soaking….
In the evening we headed into Albany to celebrate our anniversary at Rustlers Steak House…. which, despite being advertised that it was open, wasn’t! So, we ended up at the Premier Hotel. We had a tasty dinner & bottle of red wine, though the place could have had some more heating!

Twenty four years married! I am a lucky bloke. Our celebration plans fell through, and I was looking forward to a tasty rack of ribs! But, the pub meal was tasty, and a decent size, so I was happy.
