SHE SAID:
I managed to get a few hours walk & orchid hunt in on Black Mountain today. Geoff was meeting a mate on the other side of Canberra, so dropped me off. He even came in for about ½ an hour. We saw 3 different orchids, all so very different from the WA orchids.
I found a further 3 types whilst wandering around solo; it’s nice to see them again.
Geoff picked me up around 12.45pm & we returned to Farrer after getting some groceries for dinner tonight. Jacqui & Mick are arriving from the Blue Mountains this evening.
They arrived at 7.15pm, and it was a talk-fest for the rest of the evening.

HE SAID:
I was wearing the wrong attire, black jeans with running shoes, for orchiding in the bush but did it anyway. I didn't get too dirty and headed off to meet Jamie for 12 noon. Jamie was on a tight schedule so we darted straight to the Raiders club at Gunghalin for a quick schnitzel. After eating Jamie dropped me back at the car and he bolted off to get things done. I then went back to meet Varena, having a bit of another wander while Varena made her way back to the carpark. Varena prepped dinner well early, so that we could have a relaxed time when Mick and Jac arrived.
